Smartening up Your Kitchen

The human arsenal, as we know, has always been a little on the loaded side, but at the same time, it has still never possessed anything more valuable than that tendency of ours to grow on a consistent basis. This is because the stated tendency has notably gone on to fetch us some huge milestones, with technology appearing as a rather unique member of the group. Talk about why technology’s credentials are so anomalous, the answer is, by and large, based on its skill-set, which was unprecedented enough to realize all the possibilities for us that nobody could have ever imagined otherwise. Nevertheless, if we look a little bit closer, it should become clear how the whole runner was also very much inspired by the way we applied those skills across a real-world environment. The latter component was, in fact, what gave the creation a spectrum-wide presence and made it the ultimate centerpiece of every horizon. Having such an ingenious tool run the show, unsurprisingly enough, scaled up the human experience from all conceivable directions, but even after reaching so far, the prodigious concept of technology will somehow keep on delivering all the right goods. This has turned more and more evident over the recent past, and truth be told, a new development from Samsung’s camp can only make that trend a lot stronger moving forward.

Samsung is officially set to launch a new Bespoke Oven, which will use artificial intelligence to enhance your cooking experience. But how can AI play a meaningful role in the stated process. Well, for starters, the oven’s major piece of utility will come from automatically recognizing what you want to cook, and by using that information, it will recommend you the appropriate temperature, time, and mode. Going by the available details, the in-wall oven can recognize “80 different dishes and ingredients” via an internal camera. Interestingly enough, though, that won’t be the stated camera’s only application, considering the oven will also allow you to use it for livestreaming the view from inside. Such a feature, like anyone would guess, makes it an appealing prospect for content creators and avid chefs who like to share pictures and videos of their food on social media. However, even if someone is not keen on doing so, they can just use the internal camera to check how their food is turning out without having to open the oven door. The Bespoke AI oven comes with a host of different modes, such as air fryer, steam cooking, dual temperature zones, and air sous vide etc.

Another major feature that we must acknowledge here is the oven’s ability to send out timely alerts to prevent your food from getting burnt. Also, while you can expect to receive recommendations over optimal temperature, time, and mode, you can still manage these settings manually through either the oven’s 7-inch touchscreen or Samsung’s SmartThings app.

Make no mistake; Samsung isn’t the first company to work on such an oven, as other players like The June Oven and Bosch have also dipped their toes in the stated space. However, Samsung’s wider presence across these sorts of appliances gives it the opportunity to deliver an interconnected experience that maybe others cannot produce. In fact, the company is already leveraging the same by letting users integrate their AI oven with Samsung Health so to make it possible for the former to analyze their workout stats and diet goals before it puts-forth a list of tailored meal suggestions.

Beyond the AI oven, Samsung took the CES 2023 to launch various other smart products like its Bespoke Wall Mount Hood, which can ventilate up to 700 cubic feet per minute. Then, we also saw the announcement for an air quality sensor that provides you with remedies to treat low air quality.

“Our goal is to maximize the freedom customers have to pursue personalization and productivity in their kitchens, with new features enhanced with everything from large, responsive screens on our refrigerators to AI-powered cooking assistance. These latest features and products go beyond simply helping users in the kitchen and allow them to truly express themselves through the power of customization for more enjoyable experiences. Furthermore, with the latest kitchen innovations and customizable designs, these new appliances work seamlessly with SmartThings services to provide unmatched convenience and savings at home,” said Junhwa Lee, EVP and Head of the Customer Experience Team of the Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics.
