Human beings are known for a myriad of different things, but most importantly, they are known for getting better on a consistent basis. This progressive tendency on our part has already fetched us some huge milestones, with technology appearing as a rather unique member of the stated group. The reason why technology’s credentials are so anomalous is, by and large, based on its skill-set, which was unique enough to guide us towards a reality that nobody could have ever imagined otherwise. Nevertheless, a closer should quickly reveal how the whole runner was also very much inspired from the way we applied those skills across a real-world environment. The latter component was, in fact, what gave the creation a spectrum-wide presence and made it the ultimate centrepiece of every horizon. Having such an ingenious piece run the show scaled up the human experience from all conceivable directions, but even after achieving such a monumental feat, the prodigious concept of technology will somehow continue to deliver the right goods. This has grown to become a lot more evident over the recent past, and truth be told, OpenAI’s latest move can very well propel that trend to much greater heights in the future and beyond.
As per several reports, OpenAI has initiated the proceedings to monetize its viral AI-powered chatbot called ChatGPT, which can write anything from essays, emails or poems to even a full-fledged computer code. Available details indicate that the monetized version, named as ChatGPT Professional, already has a waitlist of people who are eager to use it after its initial success. But how will it differentiate itself from the free iteration? Well, for starters, ChatGPT Professional is going come with no blackout windows, and therefore, will ensure complete availability whenever you need it. Next up, the new service will be able to offer “at least” twice the daily number of answers in comparison to the existing version. Hold on, there is more. ChatGPT Professional will also be well-equipped to deliver significantly faster responses, and all this is expected to done without any interruptions from factors like throttling.
“We’re starting to think about how to monetize ChatGPT (early thinking, nothing official to share yet),” said the company. “Our goal is to continue improving and maintaining the service, and monetization is one way we’re considering to ensure its long-term viability. We’re interested in chatting with some folks for ~15 min to get some early feedback.”
Make no mistake, many other companies have beaten OpenAI to develop a similar chat, but the latter’s decision to make it available for free instantly gave it the entire buzz The service even convinced bigshot investors to install it within their workflows. This was despite the warning from, OpenAI’s CEO, Sam Altman, who deemed ChatGPT as “incredibly limited, but good enough at some things to create a misleading impression of greatness.” However, the world’s interest in the product is only set to grow stronger, with Microsoft now seemingly looking at integrating ChatGPT into its Office suite and its search engine, Bing. Interestingly enough, the stated integrations isn’t the only piece of collaboration that is likely to occur between OpenAI and Microsoft, as the latter is also planning to provide OpenAI with another $10 billion in funding. This, of course, follows up on all the technical and financial support Microsoft has already delivered to the now pretty famous AI player.
Although still in the experimental stage, the pilot program for ChatGPT Professional is accessible to all users through a request form, which asks the user about stuff like how are they planning to use the service and what price for the same is actually fair in their perspective?
